  • We have just returned from Pippin cottage and would like to express how much of a fantastic time we have all had. Karen was an absolute pleasure to deal with and the cottage is spotlessly clean and in a peaceful location but handy for all local amenities. The garden was an added bonus and really nice to sit outside and listen to the local wildlife. We loved how the cottage is upside down and has all the facilities we needed.Beds really comfy and so was the couch!
Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful cottage with us Karen we will be back! Xx

  • if you love the Dales and also the Lakes and can't decide where to stay, Sedbergh is an ideal venue as its so close to both as well as having some beautiful scenery and good walking of its own. We have visited Sedbergh on many occasions, staying at Pippin Cottage. The cottage is charming and very well equipped. It is an ideal cosy retreat for a walking holiday at any time of the year. As a bonus it is also dog friendly and our dog loves the river walks. The town has everything you need including a good supermarket within walking distance, traditional pubs with excellent food and some really quaint shops. Not forgetting the chippy! Parking is a bit tricky if you have a large vehicle, but there is a car park parking permit provided by the owners to use in car park near the church.

  • Perfect holiday cottage in a beautiful little town. Ideal for exploring the dales as well as the Lake District. A very homely cottage to come back to each day. For a small town, plenty of places to eat - breakfast, lunch or evening meal without going far. Loved having the School as part of the community, making it a unique place to stay.

  • What a gem of a cottage in a lovely quiet location but yet within the centre of Sedbergh, cannot recommend this cottage enough. The cleanest property we have stayed in and seriously well equipped. It has every gadget you would ever need within to make your holiday easy and stress free. Heating quick and efficient and the wood burning stove amazing. Perfect for couples, families and groups of friends. Wonderfully warm, welcoming and thoughtful touches with a beautiful peaceful garden to sit out and enjoy a glass of wine, would highly recommend.

  • This cottage is the most delightful retreat. I can thoroughly recommend a visit.

Its immaculate, tastefully decorated, with amazing surroundings.
Its location is perfect in a little village, with fantastic places to eat and drink. Lots of amazing walks with breath taking scenery, most definitely a five star accommodation!

  • Adorable, small cottage, in an ideal location of the beautiful town of Sedbergh. We arrived at Jo's wonderful property, using a key safe lock to gain easy access. Booking, and subsequent communication with Jo, were straight forward. This was the beginning of a fabulous holiday in Sedbergh. The property was clean, compact, modern, well located and immaculately presented. A 60 second walk to Main Street in the town centre, hardly used the car. An excellent stay for us. Thank you Jo. Steve and Ariel.

  • Little cosy bolthole in the Howgill Fells. Spent a week in September, walking in the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales also visiting Hadrian's Wall, and this pretty little cottage in Sedbergh was a perfect location. Warm, cosy and very comfortable with a lovely real fire to come home to after a long walk.

Village has great places to eat and drink so overall it was a very enjoyable autumn break highly recommended!

  • Perfect cottage in gorgeous village. Two of us stayed in Pippin Cottage for a week over Easter. It had everything we needed, a well stocked kitchen with all the utensils you’d need and essentials like tea and coffee (very generous). The cottage is thoughtfully decorated and laid out, with the living area upstairs, making the cottage feel spacious. My sister and her boyfriend joined us for two nights. They had the bunk beds, which were perfectly comfortable. Sedbergh itself is a delight and we’ve since been back, with a couple of good pubs (one doggie friendly) and two lovely coffee shops and a bistro. There are a number of great walks from the village. We can’t wait to book Pippin Cottage again. Jo was very helpful :)

  • A Fantastic hideaway in a beautiful little village. This cottage is stunning, and fitted out to the highest standard. It is immaculately clean, and you could ask for no more! The décor is very tasteful a mixture of old and new. It has a very welcoming feel to the place.

Magical Cottage. There are beautiful walks, and lots of places to cycle, always something to do summer and winter. There are also a couple of local horse riding stables to enjoy the beautiful countryside on horse back.

The cottage is located opposite the local Pub/restaurant which serves outstanding food. The staff are very welcoming and the service outstanding!

I would thoroughly recommend this cottage, for a completely relaxing and magical break. It is worth every penny!
