The holiday cottage offers two bedrooms (one double and one with adult sized bunk beds) and sleeps up to four.
It has a shower room, 32” television (with Freeview & Roku TV ) with a DVD player, bluetooth sound base speaker, which can stream music from your phone, and wood/coal burning stove.
As well as the stove there are electric heaters throughout and a dry cupboard under the stairs for those wet boots and coats.
There is a large private patio/garden area to the rear of the cottage where you can sit and enjoy the breathtaking views, perhaps eating al fresco during the summer... although it's just as magical in winter!
We request there is no smoking in the holiday rental.
There is ample parking to the rear of the cottage through the narrow driveway, off the main street. With further parking within the town (using our permit to gain free parking).
There is enough parking for two cars so plenty of space to turn around.
We also have a shed if you are bringing your bikes, and can be used to store them overnight by prior arrangement.
We like to highlight the narrow driveway to our guests. It is unusual to have off-street parking in country towns and villages and Pippin is fortunate to have such a facility. However, the driveway can look a bit daunting on first impressions. A free parking permit is available as an alternative to use in the town's two car parks (which are only a 5 minute walk away).
We thought we would make a few suggestions of things to pack to make your stay even more comfortable and enjoyable. Feel free to email us with any other ideas you may have.
We have available a child stair-gate and a fire guard which are both stored under the stairs. Due to lack of storage we do not provide high chairs or cots although we have found guests like to bring their own, so please bring those with you if required.
Because of the cottage layout, unfortunately, we do not have a washing machine, but as we have found from our guest feedback, who wants to wash clothes on holiday! That said there is a laundry service in Kendal if required. We do have an iron and ironing board.
You can stock up on food in Sedbergh if you forget anything. There is an award winning butchers, the greengrocers/deli is excellent and sells such things as the famous Cartmel Sticky Toffee Puddings and freshly ground coffee.
There is also a new large Spar shop which stays open until 10pm daily and is a short walk from Pippin.
